I'm confused. Why is Abba Gold listed as having been in the charts for 231 weeks when Wikipedia (and my own memory) say "In August, 2019, Gold: Greatest Hits became the longest-running top 100 album of all time, spending 900 weeks on the UK Albums Chart."
I know it has been reissued, repackaged and remastered during those 18 years but they all count towards the 18 gold discs for 5.5m UK sales. Also Beatles 1 is listed as 106 weeks when we all know it has been around forever (246 weeks quoted elsewhere on this site and I feel it's been longer than that. Have they stopped counting reissues with minor tweaks?
