STEREOPHONICS

Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band that formed in 1992 in the village of Cwmaman in the Cynon Valley, Wales. Stereophonics consists of singer, songwriter Kelly Jones (born June 3, 1974) on lead vocals, lead guitar, keyboards, Richard Jones (born May 23, 1974) on bass guitar, harmonica and backing vocals, Adam Zindani (born in Birmingham, March 5, 1972) on rhythm guitar, backing vocals, and Jamie Morrison (born June 30, 1983) on drums and percussion who replaced original drummer Stuart Cable (May 19, 1970 – June 7, 2010) after he died. Stereophonics have had one UK Official Singles Chart Number 1 with 2005’s Dakota, as well as having seven UK Official Album Chart Number 1s, including the breakthrough Performance and Cocktails in 1999. Stereophonics won the Best British Breakthrough Act at 1998’s BRIT Awards.
