I bought and listened to the #1 album for the first time in years this week. I'd previously bought a few that didn't get to #1.
This week's is a great record and compares well to her earlier album, 1989. Although completely different flavour with more mature writing, emotions and angles. Before this I casually liked her and she was a great pop act. This new album may turn me into a fan. As she's developing like this, I'm looking forward to her late career (around 20 years from now). Many of the albums recently new to my collection are by veteran artists with this length career (Mel C, Shakin Stevens, Steps etc.). and am really enjoying the more mature topics of older acts with long careers.

Specifically for Evermore, it reminds me of great times growing up going to the woods in winter. The artwork compliments the music beautifully. The album feels like an intimate walk with her as a friend.

There is big GAP between 100.000 & 300.000 .. so bpi must give 2×gold awards after 200.000
