What an absolute load of old 8ollox these charts are. Dolly Parton at #93 in the main chart, but not appearing in the Country chart, yet the (at least) 20 Country albums that ARE in the Country chart, don't appear above her in the main chart apart from Taylor Swift, who is not exactly a grand old opry candidate! The main chart is no more than a list of albums that are being promoted by the industry.

Michael Jackson's Number ones climbs to 25 this week making 121 consecutive weeks and a total of 544 weeks on the chart.
This album needs a vinyl release and is already in the top 40 best selling albums of the year so far.

34 albums in the top 100 are "Greatest Hits/Best Of". Surely it's time there was a separate chart for Hits packages, the rules were changed many years ago to create a separate Compilation chart. It would certainly provide more opportunities for artists to achieve recognition for their work. These Hits collections hang around for decades!

All the streaming boosts the greatest hits albums. With a lot of people still working from home and streaming via smart speakers no wonder So many hits collections in the chart. I agree it's time for a back catalogue chart.

the only reason why digga d is number 1 on albums is because nothing major released on the albums side of things other than him. i saw the chart update and i was like, yeah he’s got it in the bag lol.

, i haven’t even heard the album in full other than the singles.
