The Wombats No.1 to No.96. Doesn't this tell them that their fan base downloaded/streamed all in the first week now nobody else is interested lol. Can't really call it a hit album.
Nice to see Meat Loaf at No.3, an all time high for the iconic album having only previously peaked at No.9 many times.

Is that 1-96 drop for the Wombats the largest fall from #1 within the Top 100? Does anyone know?

One might ask the question slightly differently: Was last week's over-hype to the #1 spot, the biggest ever? But to answer yours... about a week after Kenny Rogers died in 2020, one of his old albums appeared near the top and then vanished without trace the following week. It was extremely 'odd' because that particular album has never been released, in any format, in the UK.
Here's another strange thing: Like Kiefer Sutherland, Taylor Swift appears in the Country Artists chart as well as the main album chart, so why is it that she has only ONE album in the Country Chart and all those other 'country' albums that are apparently out-selling her other albums in the main chart, do not figure in the main chart? Curious? Or just another illustration of how meaningless these charts really are?
