Ha so on the 60th birthday of the Album Charts it's topped by an absolute NOBODY

Bit disrespectful that! New music is always good on any chart. Just think how happy you would be with an
injection of new music in the singles chart.

Michael Kiwanuka for me has become the best british male artist by a country mile with this timely breakthrough sophomore album. Michael Kiwanuka might be a nobody to those more obsessed with artists twitter feeds, snapchat posts and other tiring celeb stuff. To though of us however who appreciate good music and artists who still care enough to create a album that is timeless great body of work rather than a scattergun of decent songs with plenty of filler, he is a long awaited breath of fresh air.

Love & Hate is a great album. I'll take a "nobody"'s album over any overrated artist's any day.

Maybe Synthesiza would have wished to see Adele top the chart for the 1248th week

If you look at the BBC Official Album Charts, the total number of weeks for many of the older albums vary by in some cases hundreds of weeks..

Abba Gold - Official Chart 747 BBC Chart 1061
Bob Marley Legend - 730 BBC 970
ELO The Very Best - 116 BBC 316
David Bowie Best of - 148 BBC 325

Can the Official Charts, or anyone else explain why this is?
