Because both artists are in tour mode. No video or performances, no CDs or cassettes, extended versions. Hardly surprising given all things considered.

She should never have lowered herself to recording with him. It speaks volumes that his latest album spent like 5 weeks in the top 100. Her compilation of remixes of her greatest hits keeps re-entering and has spent over 6 months. It's him! He's vile!

For an album that has music videos for each single, you would expect it to still be at #1 for miles. And plus it's a lot better than =

Agreed. Personally i think most of the songs lower down are way better than the top ones. The top 2 are just awful imo. I prefer melody over one night wonders. The problem is this chart is heavily stacked for the younger generation, but they'll be thinking the same when they get older and their favourite artists are also not doing so well. That's why i don't care for who is higher in position, i care about what i personally like and of kids don't agree, i don't care, lol.

Couldn't agree more. Im glad im not alone in my concerns. I still like to follow the charts, but i don't think the singles charts as what they used to be. Album's are better, because it doesn't get so effected by streams and airplay.

We know Kylie very well in the Low Countries (Belgium and the Netherlands) although as far as I know she has not had a hit single over here for some years now ... But she is and remains very well known !

All that and she still hasn't broken Madonna's UK record for number one singles and albums, not only here, but in every other part of the world.

Mariah Carey has had more number ones singles than Madonna in the USA and Barbra Streisand has most top 10 albums in the USA and sold the most records. Celine Dion is the most successful female in France and Canada. So she is not number one everywhere. I live in the UK so only the UK charts I'm bothered about.
