That is correct. In the last seven weeks, only one major artist has managed to outsell him in the album department in the UK for more than a week. It started when IICD was #1, then it again landed at #1, then fell to #3 (two artists outsold him that week, one a UK band, New Direction, the other a Canadian solo artist, Justin Bieber), then it bounced to #2 (the one who beat him that week was neither of them, but Adele), then remained at #2, again losing to Adele, then down to #3, the other artist, in addition to Adele, outselling him being also a UK band, Coldplay, who Presley managed to outsell, this week. So, again, only Adele, the biggest selling recording artist in the world today and ostensibly in the XXI st Century, has been able to outsell him in the UK, in the album department, more than once and in the last seven weeks. Along the way, IICD has systematically outsold, in addition to those mentioned above, except 25, new releases by the likes of Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Bette Midler and Il Divo. In fact, of all those mentioned in this here post, Presley is the only one who is not amongst us...
