i just noticed when playing a sporcle quiz on billboard number ones from the 2000s that black eyed peas were at the top for 26 weeks with two different songs. they really had the whole country on a chokehold huh 😅

my favs on this list are 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, and especially 14 :))

that was crazy about the black eyed peas! i think both singles were in the top 10 together when 'i gotta feeling' took the #1 spot. lots of fun! i wasn't a big fan of them, but hey a #1 smash is a #1 smash.

not a big fan of drake, but that was some partying for me when usher dominated the hot 100 in 2004. whitney houston did the same with the bodyguard soundtrack back in 1993, lots of fun! also adele did the same with her 21 album if memory serves me right.

I didn't check the charts last week but my God, I'm absolutely disgusted that the Robin Schulz rip-off of Miss You is climbing higher than the original. Southstar deserves a lot of credit for this song and it that Main Stream Artists are capitalizing on this new sound from up and coming artists. The only good thing is that a lot of people know the original and are sticking to it.

That was a very interesting chart, especially that 2 songs that entered the chart last Friday are old songs. The first one is the latest Queen single "Face It Alone" that was recorded in 1988 with the presence of Freddie Mercury, but never released before, and the second is the 2013 song of Arctic Monkeys titled "I Wanna Be Yours"...

Good question Thierry but considering it has a new lease of life all of a sudden and is getting a push for Halloween too, it could gain some momentum. Most Imagine Dragons tracks get overlooked but luckily they have a phenomenally large following especially playing live so they'll be at it for years to come

every 3 times a year, i get excited to share my seasonal playlists. i love creating them, seeing people’s reactions (even when they’re negative) and helping others discover new music they haven’t heard. and the latter will apply, quite a lot. the mix will be arriving as soon as november hits.

disc 1 is full of pop, rock and indie that i have adored recently, opening with cafune’s beautiful indie pop track “tek it” along with steve lacy’s “bad habit”. community favourites such as taylor swift, billie eilish and ksi are thrown in the mix with obscure names like carwash, sobs, omar apollo and tv girl. disc 2 focuses on rap, containing big names like drake, future, and lil baby, along with underrated artists such as run the jewels and ben reilly. a little bit of r&b is thrown in there too, courtesy of steve lacy, bakar, goldlink, doechii and the weeknd.
