Congrats to ABBA for claiming a new peak on the Irish album chart at 7!! and for my favourite Irish singer: DERMOT KENNEDY back at number 2 this week: am wondering how many albums did he sell so far?

Thierry - The Official Charts Company, only count the Irish Album Chart, from when they took it over, a few Years ago. 'ABBA Gold', was No.1 in that Chart, in 1999, and it would have been No.1 in 1992, too, had the Irish Album Chart existed, in that Year. Many other Albums, have far longer Irish Chart Runs, than The OCC Chart, would make you think. I believe that 'ABBA Gold' is in the Top 3 'All Time' Best Sellers, in Ireland. You cannot get that high, by Charting for 218 Weeks, and Peaking at No.7. I've just checked. 'Gold' is really on 649 Weeks, in the Irish Top 100. 'Rumours' is on 398 Weeks. 'Greatest Hits' (One), by Queen, is on 199 Irish Top 100 Weeks. Others, in the Irish Top 100 - 'Greatest Hits' - Bruce Springsteen - 758 Weeks, 'Legend' - Bob Marley & The Wailers - 620 Weeks, 'Curtain Call - The Hits' - Eminem - 535 Weeks, and '1' - The Beatles - 308 Weeks.
