WHAM!’s Last Christmas dominates the Official Singles Chart for a full month, spending a fourth consecutive week at Number 1.

Last week, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley made Official Chart history, as Last Christmas completed the longest-ever journey to Christmas Number 1, finally hitting the coveted festive top spot after 39 years.

As Britain’s festivities have been in full swing over the past seven days, Christmas songs have dominated the nation’s speakers, with a record-breaking 37 festive hits making up the Official Singles Chart Top 40 – the most ever. With seasonal classics competing with new hits from the likes of Sam Ryder and “modern classics” from the likes of Ed Sheeran & Elton John, Kelly Clarkson and Ariana Grande, Christmas is proving the most wonderful time of the year for music fans, and big business for the music industry too.

Looks like we have a future contender to break Frankie Laine's 1953 record.

Stick Season references Christmas in the lyrics so it should be 38 out of 40.
