CHAPPELL ROAN

Chappell Roan is a rising singer hailing from Missouri, US. 

Admitting a dislike for her birth name, Kayleigh Rose Amstutz took the stage name Chappell Roan in honour of her grandfather Dennis K. Chappell, who passed away from brain cancer in 2016, his favorite song was The Strawberry Roan by Curley Fletcher.

Working with long-time collaborator Dan Nigro, who also worked on Olivia Rodrigo's album SOUR, Chappell Roan's music is inspired by '80s synth-pop and early 2000s pop hits, complete with an aesthetic heavily influenced by drag queens.

Her 2020 release Pink Pony Club set the tone for Chappell Roan - a small town rhinestone cowgirl delivering euphoric, heartfelt bangers, and a queer icon for a generation. With bold hooks, powerhouse vocals, and theatrical flair Chappell Roan has continued building a cult-like fanbase ever since.

Chappell Roan's critically heralded debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess was released in September 2023, and in 2024 the midwestern darling, burgeoning pop icon and queer hero supports Olivia Rodrigo on her GUTS World Tour.  

Post-debut album, Good Luck, Babe, released 5 April 2024, became the first single of Chappell Roan's next chapter and gave the singer her first entry on the UK Official Singles Chart.
