Stick Season

Stick Season is the breakthrough UK chart hit for US singer-songwriter Noah Kahan, the song was given an early viral boost thanks to a cover performed by Olivia Rodrigo in BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge.
For those wondering, the title of the song refers to the 'season of the sticks' in Kahan's native Vermont, where all the autumn leaves have fallen, but it's yet to snow. For a song all about transitions - Kahan's narrator in the track is still living at home, while all his friends have moved away - it's the perfect visual metaphor for knowing the right time to move on.
In October 2023, Stick Season became Noah's first UK Top 10 single before later climbing all the way to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart post-Christmas, becoming the first Number 1 single of 2024 where it stayed for several weeks.
As the singer came over to the UK to play live shows and signings, on 16 February 2024 Noah Kahan landed the Official Chart double as both Stick Season and its accompanying album of the same name topped the UK Official Singles and Albums Chart simultaneously.
