Why are the OCC incapable of using punctuation marks when listing some songs/artists in the charts?

I like the predicted new #1 & especially the song debuting at #2! :)
Also good to see a charity single just beneath the Top 10.

I piran, I'm always tracking ur replies. What do u think of the album chart. Can't belive the greatest showman soundtrack might leave the top 10.
Not a fan of stormy, Taylor swift maybe. The track is alright
Sad to see billie eilish leaving top 5.massive fan and wanted to see it at number 1
Hope sixteen by Ellie Goulding goes in top 40

Hey Tony! Thanks for following my posts on these articles. :)
I just checked the albums chart & while I expected P!NK to be #1 with Catfish & The Bottlemen at #2, I didn't expect to see six albums expected to debut in the Top 10! It doesn't surprise me that Billie Eilish is the only artist who looks to remain the Top 5 going into next week.
I think the busy week we had in terms of new music is why 'The Greatest Showman' is finally being pushed out of the Top 10 after all this time, so expect it to return soon, although the hype of the film is definitely fading to other new movies too.
Stormzy's new song is decent & is growing on me, but being a Swiftie from the start, I'm 100% rooting for Taylor to get her second #1 on Friday! :D
With Billie Eilish, while she was very close to getting a #1, it's amazing she's held up this long given that she's only 17 & is going into much darker territory than most pop females.
'Sixteen' is only one spot away from reaching the Top 40 according to the update, so if any one song above it drops more than expected or goes on ACR, then Ellie Goulding should be able to make it. ;)

I don't see the point of ACR. It's so stupid because now it's not even 100% accurate on the single sales in the UK. Also, another song that I've noticed isn't in the top 100 after a while is perfect by Ed sheeran. Not sure if it is and I've missed it but it's amazing that it lasted this long in the top 100.

I feel like with 'Perfect', it's down to consistency. It gets all the radio support because it's so big on lots of formats, the sales might come from weddings for example, while the streams are probably because of it being a track on '÷'. I can't see it in the chart update either, which would mean it's the first time it hasn't appeared inside the Top 100 since the very first chart of 2019!
I agree with ACR being pointless. 10 weeks seem too little time to cap songs' performance, since a lot of hits are actually slow burners with streaming included. Like you said, it also doesn't accurately reflect the most popular songs of the week, which is what charts were made for in the first place.

Hi piran
Glad to see we're on the same level as ACR
One last question tho?
What has been your favourite number 1 between this year and last year?
And what song do u feel should've gone to number 1 but didn't ??

Yeah, I'm glad we agree too & I honestly think almost all the regular commenters on OCC disagree with it.
Last year's favourite #1 for me would probably be 'Shallow', with 'Sweet But Psycho' as a very close second.
Regarding your other question, I'm very surprised 'Giant' & 'Happier' were never #1 hits, but I feel like the song that's deserved it the most in the past few months but didn't is 'Dancing With A Stranger', also 'Don't Feel Like Crying' if we're counting songs that have peaked lower down.
What about you? :)

My favourite song to have gone to number 1 was probably solo by clean bandit. Although I've also been getting into shallow now.
Very annoyed and upset that don't call me up didnt get close enough. Mabel is so underrated. I also thought ring ring should've got more credit

Hope so am I by ava max gets to number 1 but highly doubt it as its taking forever to climb and will probably be put on acr by the time it gets to top 10

Good talking with u.im always checking the chart so probably very likely to give my opinion about a chart 😁
