Well chuffed to see Bad Things by MGK and Camila Cabello look as if it's on course to debut in the Top 20, it's had little air time in comparison with some of the other tracks that have come out in the last weeks or so, but is a cracking track and the 2 of them really deserve a good break.

I feel sorry for Rag'N'Bone Man - after all these weeks, he would finally have been Number 1, but Ed Sheeran is a freight train. Don't get me wrong, he's put great songs out. Human still conquered the charts in Germany for absolutely ages, and elsewhere in Europe.

We may very well see Ed Sheeran overtake himself at Number 1 in the coming weeks.

So maybe Human will be this year's Cheap Thrills?

I reckon you're right Rhys. Although I have to say it makes a change from Justin Bieber being sat in the No.1&2 position... And Ed's earned it after taking a sword in the face for James Blunt of all people! XD
I love Human though, such a shame it looks like it won't make it to the no.1 spot, but I reckon Rag'n'Bone Man will be more than happy with the cheque for the track as a consolation. Does anyone know if Human has gone Platinum?

Well I'm very pleased to see Ed back on the charts! If this actually happens on Friday, he will make history as the first ever artist to debut at #1 & #2 on the singles chart in the same week. :)
Also, it's cool that three more songs are climbing into the Top 10. If this is the result of the new chart formula, then I like the change a lot!

Hey Piran! I have a question. How many songs have debuted at #1 in the OC Singles chart? Unfortunately, the Wikipedia entry for it is not as extensive as the one for the Hot 100.

I'm not sure, but far more than on the Hot 100. I think it was such a common feat back when the charts were pure sales that it actually happened most weeks. There would be three or four consecutive weeks of #1 debuts in August 2015 for example. I'll keep looking though! ;)
