Perrie Forget About Us exclusive: "I'm on top of the world!"

We catch up with Perrie as she aims for her first solo Top 10

It's a big week for Perrie, as she finally releases her debut solo single Forget About Us.

The windows-down, belt-it-at-the-top-of-your-lungs banger, co-written with Ed Sheeran, is fans' first taste of Perrie Edwards' music outside of Little Mix; and it could become her first-ever Official Top 10 as a soloist this Friday.

After launching the song last week with an exclusive fan event at London's fancy Shoreditch Studios, Perrie's since been meeting Auras around Europe; and playing the lucky things some brand-new bops from her upcoming debut album.

So, we thought we'd catch up with Pez to find out how release week's going.

Chatting exclusively to Official Charts, Perrie thanked fans for their support so far. She said:

"This week has been mind-blowing. The support has been unbelievable, and being so close to my fans has been so, so special.

"I'm honestly feeling on top of the world!"

This comes as Perrie prepares to drop the official Forget About Us music video this Friday (March 19) at 4pm BST, shot recently in Cape Town and directed by Jake Nava. You might already be aware of his work with the likes of Britney Spears and Beyoncé. Casual.

Oh and - in case you missed it - Ed Sheeran's even shared his Forget About Us cover on social media. He said: "Congrats on the release @perrieedwards! Honoured to be a part writing of your first solo single with you, you rock. Forget About Us out on all platforms guyz x".

So, can Perrie expect to claim her first-ever solo Official Top 10 single this week? Things are looking good so far, but it's down to the fans to keep it in there!
