The Weeknd's Blinding Lights set to reclaim UK's Official Number 1 single

BTS are also set for the highest new entry on this week's Official Singles Chart.

The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights is on course to reclaim this week’s Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

The '80s-inspired track is currently back up one place to 1, knocking last week’s chart-topper, No Time To Die by Billie Eilish, down to 2. If Blinding Lights holds on until Friday, it'll be its third week at the summit. View The Weeknd's Official UK Chart history in full.

The Weeknd is set to land another Top 40 entry this week with the newly released After Hours, currently at Number 17. It’s the title track and third release from the Canadian’s upcoming album, which is out on March 20.

Elsewhere, Joel Corry is set to earn his second Top 10 single with Lonely, so far up seven places to Number 7. The British producer’s last single Sorry was a Top 10 hit last August. Earlier this month we asked Joel what his formula is for a dance-pop hit.

Following the release of their new album Map of the Soul: 7, BTS are on track to land their third UK Top 40 with On, currently at Number 8 and on course to be this week's highest new entry. There are two versions of the song on the 20-track collection, one of which features Sia.

The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

What if 'Someone You Loved' returned to the top spot? Could happen.

Don’t think it will tbh the top 2 r way to far ahead. Could go top 3 I think

So happy to see that Lonely could be set for the top 10!!! Joel corry is definitely not a one hit wonder :)))
But what I’m really surprised at Is someone you loved at number 4. It’s getting silly now how this is still happening!

Adore you by harry styles is already that yoyo track of the year when it comes to the top 10 honestly!

Yay! 'Blinding Lights' is back at #1!!! :D

I'm really surprised that 'Someone You Loved' has returned to the Top 5 yet again, especially considering it hasn't gone on ACR when 'Before You Go' has.

I also didn't expect BTS to be set to earn their first Top 10 single, although I like that 'Roses' & 'Lonely' are still climbing!

Didn’t expect blinding lights to be back at number 1 tbh!

And don’t piran honestly I don’t even know what can be said about someone you loved at this point. I’ve never seen anything like this before in the chat

I thought 'Blinding Lights' might've stood a chance at returning to #1, probably because I knew 'No Time To Die' would take a big second week fall (in terms of overall performance).

Yeah, it's crazy! I mean, I get why 'Someone You Loved' would rebound after the BRIT's performance, but not this high. It seems like even the ACR rule isn't working in getting this lower in the charts!

Honestly I don’t think there’s ever been such dominance ever been made before like this!!

Am liking this chart tho specially the fact lonely is in the top 10!

Despite being the #1 song of 2019, I honestly think 'Someone You Loved' might even make the Top 10 of 2020's chart too! :O

Yeah, it's awesome to see 'Lonely' finally getting big! I really hope EDM can get a #1 single this year, since the genre failed to do so last year.

Really hope it can as that is my favourite genre! Piece of your heart has to be the closest single to reach number 1 latley in edm!
Also think adore you by Harry styles is one of the yoyo tracks of the year already as it’s about to have it’s 3rd stunt in the top 10!

Yeah, it's my favourite genre too! :D

I believe the last EDM song to reach #1 was 'Promises' by Calvin Harris ft Sam Smith, although that was 18 months ago now.

Haha, I feel like 'Adore You' is going one week, then down the next, on a never ending cycle!

Oh, and 100% I think someone you loved will end up in the top 10 of 2020 at this rate! Because it’s still played everywhere and won’t stop being streamed and downloaded all year even if it’s eventually slows down

Went out last night and went mad to lonely aha! And yea edm is the bomb! And it was promises, that long ago man?
