The Weeknd is in pole position for an eighth week at Number 1 with Blinding Lights.

The Canadian’s first UK chart topper is over 4,000 chart sales ahead on today's Official Chart: First Look based on downloads and streams from across the weekend. Blinding Lights is one of only seven songs to have had three or more separate stints at Number 1.

The Official Chart: First Look airs on BBC Radio 1 each Sunday between 6pm – 7pm and offers a first glance of the Top 20 ahead of Friday’s Official Singles Chart Top 100. The chart is based on preliminary sales and early streaming reports.

Songs that could reach new peaks this week include Mabel’s Boyfriend (9) and Falling by Harry Styles (15).

The highest climber on today’s sales flash is Tequila by producers/DJs Jax Jones & Martin Solveig, and British singer-songwriter Raye. The party anthem rockets 14 places to Number 18.

Outside of the Top 20, the most downloaded song on the First Look chart is Everyday Heroes by Scottish rock band Skerryvore. Reaching Number 38 based on two days of chart sales, the charity single in aid of the NHS Charities Covid-19 Urgent Appeal features a variety of Scottish acts who recorded their contributions in isolation. Acts who lent their support include Peat & Diesel, Tide Lines and Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

The Official Singles Chart is revealed here on OfficialCharts.com every Friday at 5.45pm. Listen to the Top 40 countdown live on BBC Radio 1's Official Chart show with Scott Mills every Friday from 4pm.

Hey Piran,
I am hoping that Stupid Love is returning to top 20! And also I will like Dua lipa songs to fall a bit because Don't start now has never left the top 10! And I am getting bored of listening to songs like Roses and Lonely!
Blueberry Faygo may crack the top 10 because due to tik tok and good sales! And Finally Blinding lights may score a eighth week atop the UK chart,
Many Thanks EandS buddys (or Earth and Sun Buddys)

Dua Lipa is still doing strong! Lady Gaga is back at top 20, well deserved. I'm happy that Mabel's ''Boyfriend'' grows every week. And Harry is by far the most succesfull member from 1D. He doesn't need that 1D reunion like others former members

To see LADY GAGA back into the Top 20?! That will be great...Furthermore seeing DOJA, MABEL climbing the chart...extremely happy..Still surprised to TONES & I still inside the Top 20...She released a few singles after DANCE MONKEY that are much better but never charted here!!

Hmm... I'm not sure if this is an issue on my end, but I can only see the Top 5 songs in the table, with #6-20 completely blank!

Anyway, I still love 'Blinding Lights' at #1, along with: 'Boyfriend', 'Falling' & 'Tequila' all set for new peaks.

'Everyday Heroes' being at the top of the sales chart is really wonderful to see, as are all the NHS tributes! :)

Glad to see "Blinding Lights" at #1, as well as "Tequila" hopefully reaching the top 20!

Hey Sergej! :)

Yeah, not too surprised at 'Blinding Lights' still at #1, but I didn't expect 'Tequila' to rise as much as it did.

I can see all the Top 20 on my network .Looks like Drake has lost his mojo then and cannot dislodge The Weekend..Will it dare I say match Bryan Adam's record breaker from 1991?

Yeah, they appear to have fixed it now thankfully! :)

Yeah, he's down to #3 on the new chart! The Weeknd is only at half the number of weeks that Bryan Adams got, but then you've got remember that 'Toosie Slide' is now back in front on streaming & ACR is now a thing, so while I think 'Blinding Lights' might get more weeks at #1, it certainly won't be enough to get anywhere close to '[Everything I Do] I Do It For You'.
