Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour concert film is coming to the UK
The singer's concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, will play in cinemas worldwide from 13th October, including all ODEON cinemas across the UK. The film is produced by Taylor herself and directed by Sam Wrench, who previously helmed Billie Eilish's Billie Eilish: Live at the O2 and Lizzo's Lizzo: Live in Concert, both of which came out in 2022.
The film was shot at Taylor's shows in Los Angeles from August 3-5 of this year. The runtime has yet to be confirmed, but given that The Eras Tour has become known for its epic, career-spanning setlist, it seems safe to presume that it will be an in-depth watch.
Taylor shared the exciting news in an Instagram post featuring the film’s poster. She said: "The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. 🌎 Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theaters WORLDWIDE on Oct 13! Tickets available now at www.TSTheErasTourFilm.com or on your local theaters website!"
The Eras Tour began in North America this March and is due to arrive in the UK in June 2024 for massive gigs at London's Wembley Stadium, Liverpool's Anfield, Cardiff's Principality Stadium and Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium. Taylor last toured the UK back in 2018, so these dates are highly anticipated by fans.
The singer's next album, 1989 (Taylor's Version), is due for release on October 27 and could extend her hot streak of Official Albums Chart Number 1s. She already has 10 UK Number 1 albums to her name – more than any female artist bar Madonna, who has 12.
