Noah Kahan sees off Ariana Grande for third week at Number 1 with Stick Season

The season of the sticks shows no sign of stopping in the UK, as Noah Kahan has defeated one of pop’s biggest players to secure a third week at Number 1. 

Stick Season sees off stiff competition from Ariana Grande’s comeback track, yes, and? (2), and is once again the most-streamed track in the country over the last seven days (8.2 million streams), reaching the summit with just 600 chart units separating the pair. 

Today’s highest new entry at Number 2, Ariana makes a bold start to the campaign for her upcoming seventh studio album, eternal sunshine. yes, and? sees her reunite with super-producer Max Martin for the first time in half a decade and becomes the superstar’s 21st UK Top 10 hit. 

Rising US singer-songwriter Teddy Swims celebrates his first Top 5 single in the UK, as Lose Control lifts one to a brand-new peak (5). Can it go any higher in the coming weeks? 

21 Savage has not only secured his first solo UK Top 10 album today, but he’s also dominating the Singles Chart too. Three tracks from american dream impact the Top 40 this week; redrum (11), née-nah with Travis Scott and Metro Boomin (23) and n.h.i.e. featuring Doja Cat (27). 

Feel the rain on your skin! Natasha Bedingfield makes a sterling return to the UK Top 20 with Unwritten (18) experiencing a massive surge in uplift thanks to its feature in rom com Anyone But You. Originally released in 2004, the British pop classic peaked at Number 6 on the Official Singles Chart and was Natasha’s international breakthrough hit. D-Block Europe’s Eagle ft. Albanian artist Noizy becomes the rap duo’s landmark 30th Top 40 single (19), while rising US rapper Flo Milli gains her first with viral breakthrough smash Never Lose Me (24), flying 17 places. 

Finally, British singer-songwriter Tom Odell’s Black Friday (31) experiences a major uplift, breaking back into the Top 40 after rebounding 31 places. The title track of his new album, which is released next week, originally peaked at Number 21 last year.
