Joel Corry & MNEK are challenging Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo for this week's Number 1 on the Official Chart: First Look.
Head & Heart is now catching up to the reigning Number 1, up one place to Number 2 after 48 hours. The track is currently 1,500 chart sales behind Savage Love (Laxed – Siren Beat) by Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, which is on course for a fourth week at Number 1.
If the pair can surpass the current chart topper, it’ll be both artists’ first Number 1. Joel’s previous single, Top 5 hit Lonely, is the biggest song released in 2020 so far.
Meanwhile, DJ Khaled is back and could earn the two highest new entries this week with Drake-assisted singles Popstar (8) and Greece (11).

Three classic Joy Division singles reissued on vinyl for their 40th anniversary currently feature in the Top 40: Love Will Tear Us Apart (12), Atmosphere (21) and Transmission (23). See Joy Division's full Official Chart history here.
Swedish Production duo Jubël could earn their first Top 20 with their remix of Toploader’s Dancing in the Moonlight featuring singer-songwriter Neimy, currently up nine places to Number 13, and finally Ava Max’s Kings & Queens is on course for a new peak, so far up seven places to Number 14.
The Official Chart First Look is based on preliminary sales and streaming data from the first 48 hours of this week’s chart race, the fuller picture will emerge as more data arrives throughout the week.

Unfortunately joy division won’t get in the top 25 by Friday due to acr setting and streaming points to be honest any tracks may not get top 20 tommorow update online

ACR does not affect it since it only affects streaming. Joy Division is only doing well on vinyls, so it will probably land somewhere in the top 75.

Actually from the chart rules, for radio 1 on singles charts ACR effects sales/units for all track over 3 years old! Streaming takes within 3 years (For ACR/SCR) and within 3 years of release a song can Re-apperes again with charts sales boost months later (SCR-ACR-SCR-ACR)

Really hope Kygo x Tina Turner charts highly-Tina’s last chart entry was back in 2004 with Open Arms which peaked at #25. As for Dancing in the Moonlight I’m not a fan but I wasn’t a fan of Toploader’s version either! Mind you the original, by King Harvest, doesn’t appeal to me 😂

I don't think "Head & Heart" will be on No.1 because "Savage Love" is still a viral hit on TikTok so very unlikely for Joel Corry to score a No.1 in my opinion.

It's #1 on Spotify and iTunes, which First Look charts usually omit, so it's actually quite possible!

As for Becky Hill she's failing on Spotify is see Apple music it's around 11/12 where as on Spotify around 35

At least Joel Corry's hits tend to be slow burners, so I do think it'll be #1 for a little while, even if it somehow doesn't get there this week.
It seems like Joy Division get a really high re-entry early on the tracking week like The Rolling Stones did a few weeks ago! :P

They often climb, also, great to see a not-big ACR drop from 'Breaking Me', 'Head & Heart' reaching a no 2 peak and 'Flowers' in the top 20 for yet another week! Honestly that has stuck around for a long time now and still not gone top 10!

It’s avoided it for awhile hopefully it can gain sales to spend at least another 3 weeks around! It’s had a weird run but I hope it sticks around longer

I'm disappointed that Kygo is now going down this road, what a waste of talent when the amount of amazing songs on his last album and none of them hit the top 40 (except higher love of course). Easy to have hit with a cover version, think that will be what we get much more of now as it makes money, producing great music doesn't seem to count for much these days 😔

Unfortunately, outside of 'Higher Love' like you said, Kygo never really got any hits as such with his last album. The closest he came to that with an original was 'Lose Somebody' with OneRepublic, which even then, fell short of a Top 40 peak!
Maybe remixes of older hits are the best way he can get a hit now & besides, I don't think his remakes are exactly bad either, so I guess I'm fine with him doing this. :)

'Head & Heart' wasn't even in the Top 20 on either update in the week that it debuted, but it actually entered the chart at #15! Last week, it was expected to move up to #5 or #6, but actually finished the week at #3.
