Ed Sheeran claims his eighth Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Take Me Back To London ft. Stormzy, rising ten places from last week.

The climb in Ed and Stormzy’s chart position is thanks to the release of its music video and a remix of the track by producer Sir Spyro featuring rising star Aitch and Birmingham rapper JayKae.

Overall, Take Me Back To London racked up 67,000 chart sales this week, including 10.6 million streams.

Taylor Swift claims three spots in this week’s Top 40 following the release of her new album Lover: The title track jumps nine places to Number 14, while The Man lands at 21 and Cruel Summer enters at 27.

Smart calculating move by Ed's label, all in all 'Higher Love' was gonna take that top spot if not for his label slick calculated move. His label could've issued these remixes this up coming week. What was the rush, oh cause they knew, 'Higher Love' was gonna claim that top spot. Ed's not to blame, its his money thirsty record label..lol

I dont think it was because of higher love more to the fact that senorita was going on acr so easy to manipulate a greater chance at no.1

I beg the differ, Ed's label know it was a likely strong chance the 'Higher Love' would hit at 1 and also with 'Senorita' going to acr that same week too, as release of 'London' remixes would enhance in numbers and likely dominate over the rest of the songs in the top 5,,plain and simple. I'm keeping it real, if those 'London' remixes hadn't been released, Whitney would had that top spot dead on. Higher Love numbers was strong to claim that spot, but when 'London' remixes was issued it reign in numbers whole week to be at 1 by the time the chart update announced Friday.

I doubt they would have taken that into account, the record label would have planned a couple of weeks ago and not even taken into account higher love, but knowing that senorita would likely be on acr, gave it the beat chance. Also senorita was still performing greater than higher love so it wouldnt actually be a true no.1, it would just be because senorita was on acr. It's still going well so hopefully in next couple of weeks you never know

Senorita would've dropped to no.2 this week, even if it hadn't been on ACR. ACR allowed the songs to switch places!

So right and it would've been chart update Friday of;
1. Take Me Back to London Ed Sheeran
2. Senorita Shawn Mendes & Camila
3. Higher Love Whitney & Kygo

I'm happy to see 'Take Me Back To London' go to #1 for the original only, because the remix really disappointed me as a whole. Hopefully this doesn't prevent 'Higher Love' from going to the top of the charts!

That said, three Taylor Swift songs in the Top 40 (including two 10/10s) is a massive positive this week. :)
