Alicia Keys will take to the stage to perform for the nation on this year’s BBC One New Year’s Eve countdown.
A specially-selected set of songs will be performed by the star before and after the countdown to midnight, as part of a massive line-up of entertainment designed for the nation to enjoy safely at home from 9pm.
Alicia Keys Rocks New Years Eve, which was filmed on location in Los Angeles, will begin from 11.30pm and continue into 2021 with a brief interlude featuring an “unforgettable and very special midnight moment” in lieu of the usual firework display at the London Eye.
The rest of the evening will feature a range of entertainment for all to enjoy as we ring in 2021. Paddy McGuinness kicks things off at 9pm with a one-hour ‘extravaganza’ of music, games and surprises followed by a quiz of 2020. Graham Norton’s traditional end of year talk show will also take place with a host of A-List guests including Tom Hanks and Emily Blunt, and music from Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
