
Courtney Barnett was born November 3, 1987 in Sydney, Australia and is an Australian singer, songwriter, and musician. Courtney Barnett was 16 when she began writing songs, and also played guitar in local turn Rapid Transit before forming Courtney Barnett and the Olivettes. Courtney Barnett’s international breakthrough came in 2013 with the Double EP release and notably the song Avant Gardener, and made her UK Official Album Chart debut with Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit in 2015. Courtney Barnett has won six ARIA Awards, and was nominated for Best International Female at the 2016 BRIT Awards.
