The Libertines are on track to top the Official Albums Chart for the first time in 20 years.

All Quiet On The Eastern Esplanade, the fourth studio LP from Carl Barât, Pete Doherty, John Hassall and Gary Powell, could become the group’s first Number 1 record since eponymous 2004 album The Libertines. The group secured a second UK Top 10 album in 2015 with comeback record Anthems For Doomed Youth, which peaked at Number 3.

Earlestown export The K’s expect to earn their first-ever Top 5 album with debut LP I Wonder If The World Knows? (2), as does US singer-songwriter Conan Gray with his 80s-influenced third album Found Heaven, which features production from Max Martin (3).

Newport-formed rock outfit Feeder eye an 11th Top 10 album with Black/Red this week (4), while The Black Keys’ 12th record Ohio Players could earn the duo a sixth UK Top 10 (6).

Rapper and record producer J. Cole could claim his fourth Top 10 LP with Might Delete Later (7), having previously seen similar success with 2018’s KOD (2) and 2021 album The Off-Season (2).

Texan trio Khruangbin, comprising Laura Lee, Mark Speer and DJ Johnson, look to secure a second Top 10 album with A LA SALA (8), as Vampire Weekend’s Only God Was Above Us could become the group’s fourth (9).

Bob Vylan track for a career-best with Humble As The Sun (11), as breakout singer-songwriter Benson Boone follows the chart-topping success of Beautiful Things with his debut album Fireworks & Rollerblades (16).

English rock legends Hawkwind expect to clinch their 17th Top 40 LP with Stories From Time And Space (20), while Palace’s fourth studio album Ultrasound also eyes a Top 40 debut (22).

Kentucky-born rapper, singer and songwriter Bryson Tiller looks to claim his fourth Top 40 LP with self-titled record Bryson Tiller (28), as Cock Sparrer aim for a career-best with Hand On Heart (33).

And, finally, Niall Horan’s former chart-topper The Show could rebound back into the Top 40 following its release on gatefold 2LP vinyl (39).
