New Music Friday

Welcome to your weekly round-up of this week's big new single, album and home entertainment releases, all in one place, only on Official Charts.

On the albums front, Shed Seven return with A MATTER OF TIME, their first album in six years including recent releases Talk of the Town, In Ecstasy (ft. Rowetta) and Starlings. The York-formed rock group, comprising Rick Witter, Paul Banks, Tom Gladwin, Tim Wills and Rob Maxfield, last enjoyed Top 10 success with their fifth studio LP Instant Pleasures in 2017 (8). Could A MATTER OF TIME earn the band a fifth Top 10 record next week?

Dublin-born indie four-piece SPRINTS unleash their debut LP Letter to Self this week. Preceded by Heavy, Up and Comer, Adore Adore Adore and Shadow of a Doubt, the record sees Karla Chubb, Colm O'Reilly, Jack Callan and Sam McCann bring their unique brand of 'garage punk' across 11 tracks.

Busted reissue their chart-topping 2023 Greatest Hits 2.0 collection as an expanded Another Present for Everyone edition, this time including latest single One of These Days, as Paramore celebrate the 10-year anniversary of their self-titled 2013 Paramore LP with a limited edition coloured vinyl variant. The record reached Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart on its original release.

Singles-wise, Bring Me The Horizon are back with brand-new track Kool-Aid. Oli Sykes, Matt Kean, Lee Malia and Matt Nichols will be hoping for an eighth UK Top 40 with the song.

Elsewhere, British singer-songwriter and YouTuber NOAHFINNCE releases 3 DAY HEADACHE; the latest track lifted from his debut album GROWING UP ON THE INTERNET, penned for a March 2024 release.

Those in the mood for some nostalgia are in for a treat, too, as two EPs land on streaming for the first time.

S Club 7's 2001 Sunshine album track Stronger, featuring lead vocals from Tina Barrett, is released as an EP with remixes from the likes of Flip & Fill and Solar8. Meanwhile, ahead of The Girls Aloud Show tour later this year, Girls Aloud release the Wake Me Up EP. The fifth and final single from their What Will the Neighbours Say? album, Wake Me Up peaked at Number 4 in 2005.
