Frank Turner is an English punk and folk singer hailing from Hampshire. Starting with 2008's Love Ire & Song, he released nine studio albums before eventually landing his first Number 1 with FTHC.
As FTHC - an initialism meaning Frank Turner Hardcore - hit number 1, he told OfficialCharts.com: "Getting a Number 1 album is crazy, it’s not a thing I ever thought would happen to me and it’s happened on my ninth album. That feels particularly crazy and awesome, and I’m proud of it. It feels quite fitting that, of all the records I’ve put out, this is the one that got the Number 1 trophy. I’m very proud of the record; it’s a more intense, more personal record."
To promote the follow-up to FTHC, Undefeated, Frank completed a world record for the most gigs played over 24 hours; completing 15 shows across the country in aid of Music Venue Trust. Undefeated delivered Frank a sixth Top 10 album.
