In a week that's already seen Ariana Grande announce her return with brand-new single yes, and?, her former Rain on Me collaborator Lady Gaga's the latest artist to tease upcoming music on social media.

Aside from her 2023 team-up with The Rolling Stones on Sweet Sounds of Heaven, Gaga's been pretty quiet on the music front recently; instead focusing on her upcoming film role as Harley Quinn in Todd Phillips' Joker: Folie à Deux.

But, now, the star's kicked off 2024 with sessions in the recording studio; sending Little Monsters everywhere into quite the state of excitement.

Taking to Instagram, Gaga posted a behind-the-scenes snap from the studio simply captioned: "🖤🎶".

Lady Gaga's most recent release was The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder collaboration Sweet Sounds of Heaven, lifted from the rock legends' Number 1 LP Hackney Diamonds.

Speaking on the team-up at the time, the Stones' Mick Jagger told Associated Press: "We’ve done shows with her before and we were doing this song that I wrote on the piano, this kind of gospel-y song and she was in the next door studio.

"She said, ‘Can I come down?’ and she came down and she joined in and we sung together and we went in the next day and tidied up a few things up."
