David Guetta and Bebe Rexha's I'm Good (Blue) surges to Number 1: "I've never been happier!"

The Eiffel 65-sampling summer smash is a chart-topper, and Bebe's 'never been happier'

Summer 2022’s dance music domination continues this week, as David Guetta and Bebe Rexha’s collaboration I’m Good (Blue) surges to the summit.

The infectious track, which samples Italian EDM outfit Eiffel 65’s 1999 smash Blue (Da Ba Dee) entered the Top 10 three weeks ago and has proved an earworm ever since, climbing all the way to Number 1 today, racking up over 5.4 million streams this week, and also earning the title of biggest digital download of the week.

I’m Good (Blue) becomes David’s seventh UK Number 1 single, and his first since Lovers On The Sun ft. Sam Martin eight years ago, while it marks Bebe’s first-ever chart-topper. Featuring 46 Top 40 singles including 29 Top 10s, explore David Guetta’s full Official Chart history here.

Celebrating her success, Bebe Rexha tells OfficialCharts.com: “An Official UK Number 1 has always been on my bucket list, because I respect the UK music scene so much. I feel like you’re always so open to new sounds. Honestly, I’ve never been happier.

“I just want to say thank you so much to the UK. I’m shocked. I’m so excited, so blessed. Thanks so much for supporting the record.”

So much for Lewis Capaldi's comeback...Even he cannot hold off Radio 1's dance dominated playlist for at least another week. In fact I played Eiffel 65's original last week prior to this admittingly earworm addiction of Bebe and David hit the top..perhaps this improves on the original which was a Marmite type club smash all those years ago in '99..Can it now hold on or will the equally popular Lewis return next week?

OMG! I just cannot believe it!! i am so happy for BEBE!! Not only I'M GOOD is an amazing dance track: love it but the single gives BEBE her first and so well deserved number 1 single!! love her interview with the OC as well: she seems so sincere and so grateful to the UK public...

French ? Eiffel 65 was an Italian band!

Of course ‘Forget Me’ falls from #1 in the week it massively grows on me! 😩

Cool to see Bebe top the chart for the first time ever anyway, first time for DG in over eight years. :)

I love the more frequent change we’ve had at the top lately – four different #1 singles in the past five weeks!
