Charli XCX reveals there's a deluxe edition of new album Crash already in the works

Nothing more sell-out era than a deluxe edition, of course.

There's five days to go until Charli XCX unleashes her fifth studio album Crash, but apparently there are even more surprises on the way.

Her much-touted final record in her contract with major label and long-time home Atlantic, Crash arrives March 18 - having been preceded by the singles Good Ones, New Shapes feat. Christine and the Queens & Caroline Polachek, Beg For You feat. Rina Sawayama and Baby.

Charli has hinted in the past that the roll-out for Crash will not end with the initial release of the album, and she now seems to have confirmed she'll be issuing a deluxe edition too.

Taking to Instagram, she said: "5 days [until Crash]...oh and there's a deluxe [edition] coming..."

Naturally as this is Charli's self-confessed sell-out era, we're not surprised. There is nothing more sell-out or main pop girl than releasing a deluxe edition of your album.

Charli recently gained her 12th UK Top 40 hit with Beg For You, featuring BRIT award nominee Rina Sawayama. The track contains a sample of September's 00s dance classic Cry For You and was accompanied by a gloriously camp, sell-your-soul music video.

The latest single from the album is the short-but-sweet Baby. Accompanied by a high-concept choreography video, it sees Charli take control (literally) on a new jack swing beat heavily inspired by the 80s records of Janet Jackson.

Crash can be found as one of our Albums To Look Out For in 2020. See Charli XCX's Top 10 best-selling tracks in the UK here.
