BTS star Jung Kook makes UK Official Chart history today as he claims the highest-charting album by a Korean solo artist ever with GOLDEN.

The debut LP from the K-pop juggernaut's main vocalist, born Jeon Jung-kook, enters the Official Albums Chart at Number 3. The latest feat in what's proven an incredible year for Jung Kook, this follows the success of recent singles Seven featuring Latto (3), 3D with Jack Harlow (5) and The Kid Laroi and Central Cee team-up TOO MUCH (10).

Latest cut Standing Next to You looks set to join Jung Kook's Top 10 singles tally today, too. Should it do so, it'll extend Jung Kook's record as the Korean artist with the most UK Top 10 singles to their name, potentially boasting four within four months.

In 2020, Jung Kook's BTS bandmate SUGA (real name Min Yoon-gi) claimed the group's first solo Top 10 album with D-2, released under his Agust D moniker. The record peaked at Number 7 in June of that year.
