OLLY ALEXANDER

Olly Alexander (full name Oliver Alexander Thornton) is a singer-songwriter and actor born in Harrogate, North Yorkshire on July 15 1990.

After a number of acting roles, including parts in The Riot Club and Skins, Olly rose to fame as a musician with Years & Years. Originally formed of Olly, alongside bassist Mikey Goldsworthy and keyboardist Emre Türkmen, Years & Years earned their first Number 1 single in March 2015 with King. The song's parent album, Communion, also reached Number 1 in July of that year.

In December 2023, Olly was announced as the UK's Eurovision Song Contest representative, confirmed to perform at the Grand Final in Malmö, Sweden with the country's entry Dizzy.
