Kodaline is an Irish rock band who formed in Dublin, Ireland 2005 in whose line-up consists of vocalist and multi-musician Steve Garrigan (born August 23, 1988), guitarist Mark Prendergast (born 16 January 16, 1989), drummer Vincent May (born February 11, 1990) and bassist Jason Boland (born August 31, 1987). Kodaline first emerged under the name 21 Demands as part of the Irish talent show You’re A Star in 2006, where they were the runners-up, and made chart history when their song Give Me A Minute topped the Irish Official Singles Chart, becoming the first independently released track to do so. Kodaline became Kodaline in 2012 and issued their debut album In A Perfect World the following year, the title track of which is used as the theme to Channel 4’s Gogglebox.
