The first of five record-breaking consecutive Christmas Number 1s for LadBaby - aka Mark and Roxanne Hoyle - We Built This City is basically a cover of Starship's 1985 classic of the same name, just re-written to focus on sausage rolls (this will become a recurring theme). Released December 14, 2018, it debuted at Number 1 on the UK Official Singles Chart with first week sales of 75,000 sales, with its profits going to The Trussell Trust – the charity supporting a network of more than 1200 UK foodbanks.

It was the first novelty song to become the UK Official Singles Chart Christmas Number 1 since Bob The Builder’s Can We Fix It in 2000, beating two absolutel pop smashes to the peak; Ava Max’s Sweet But Psycho and Ariana Grande’s zeitgeisty thank u, next.
