Will Young announces new album 20 Years - The Greatest Hits to celebrate Pop Idol anniversary

The collection includes Will's four Number 1 singles.

Will Young has announced the release of a new greatest hits album and tour to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of his Pop Idol win.

Will won the first series of Pop Idol in 2002, and will be heading out on a UK-wide tour next year - accompanied by a new greatest hits album, too.

20 Years - The Greatest Hits will feature songs from the entire span of his career; including debut winner's single Evergreen, to solo hits like Leave Right Now and Jealousy, to tracks from his most recent covers album Crying On The Dancefloor, as well as two brand-new songs.

The album will be available in CD, signed CD and vinyl varieties too. The 20 Years Greatest Hits Tour will start in Glasgow, and end with a closing show at the London Palladium.

Will broke records upon winning Pop Idol in 2002. Triumphing over Gareth Gates, his winner's single Evergreen/Anything Is Possible remains one of the best-selling singles of the 21st Century in the UK, and one of the fastest-selling too, with 1.1 million sales in its opening week.

In a career now spanning two decades, Will has claimed four UK Number 1 singles and just as many UK Number 1 albums too.

His most recent release - covers album Crying On The Dancefloor - became his eighth consecutive Top 3 studio album when it debuted at peaked at Number 3 on the Official Albums Chart this August.
