Things have changed a lot for Tom Speight since we introduced you to London singer-songwriter last summer.

After a series of EPs released in 2017/2018, Tom's following has grown to two million monthly listens on Spotify alone, reaching a total of 60 million plays on the platform to date.

Ahead of his debut album in 2019, he's released Strangers Now, an infectious and warming slice of folk-pop that follows in the vein of recent releases Want You and Collide. The song features fellow rising star Lydia Clowes and was co-written with Irish musician Lisa Hannigan and Turin Brakes.

For the accompanying visual, premiered below, Tom says he "wanted to carry on the continuity of location videos Want You was filmed in Paris for Strangers Now we chose to shoot a video in LA on a recent trip, as it was inspired by the West Coast.

"Whilst exploring areas of Los Angeles such as Venice Beach, Santa Monica, Sunset Boulevard and Mulholland Drive, Lydia and I captured some of the places that inspired the song."

Expect to hear a lot more from Tom in 2019; as well as the album he's announcing dates for a tour before the end of this year.
