2016 got off to a great start for Kevin Simm when he was crowned the winner of The Voice UK, and he's now gearing up to release his first solo album.

The former Liberty X star's solo debut, Recover, is out October 28, and to mark this milestone for Kevin, he's recorded sessions at the legendary Abbey Road studios, which has seen musical icons like the Beatles and Pink Floyd record music there.

Watch Kevin perform Strangers:

The album is available to preorder now, and Kevin will be this year's See Through Sound at Cadogan Hall tonight in aid of RNIB. The concert is unusual in that the audience will be wearing special glasses that highlight the various eye conditions experienced by visually impaired people.

Kevin scored his first solo Top 40 hit earlier this year with All You Good Friends.
