Taylor Swift’s Willow rolls in at Number 1 on the Official Trending Chart
Willow by Taylor Swift has breezed straight in at Number 1 on the Official Trending Chart following the release of Taylor’s second surprise album of 2020, Evermore.
The album, which is currently set to become Taylor's sixth Number 1 album, is a sister album to Taylor’s previous collection Folklore, which was released in July, similarly with just 24 hours’ notice from Taylor.
Willow is the album's lead single and opening track, vying for a strong Top 5 debut on Friday, while Champagne Problems – also from Evermore – is eyeing up a Top 20 start this week. The album features collaborations with Haim, The National and Bon Iver, the latter of whom also featured on Folklore.
Another brand new single having a big first-week performance is Show Out by Kid Cudi, Pop Smoke and Skepta, which features on Kid Cudi’s new album Man On The Moon III: The Chosen. Tequila Shots, also from Kid Cudi’s album, makes a more modest entrance further down the Trending Chart.
Lots of songs are climbing, including Naughty List by Liam Payne ft. Dixie D’Amelio, Becky Hill’s cover of Forever Young - currently up 33 places on last week’s Official Singles Chart - and Dolly Parton’s Cuddle Up Cozy Down Christmas with Michael Buble.
Finally, there are further new entries already making an impact from Kid Cudi, Carrie Underwood, Juice Wrld & Kid Laroi, Jonas Brothers and Wilbur Soot.
