2024 marks 30 years since pop history was made, as Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie C and Mel B joined forces as the Spice Girls, before going on to become a global phenomenon with the release of Wannabe in 1996.

Now, following the announcement they're to be the first girl group ever to be immortalised in a series on Royal Mail stamps, Mel B's revealed 'all five' members of the group have some 'good news' they're set to announce imminently.

While Victoria Beckham sat out the group's Spice World 2019 stadium shows, leaving the Spice Girls to tour the UK as a four-piece, Mel's teased an upcoming announcement involving the band's original line-up of Scary, Baby, Sporty, Ginger and Posh.

Speaking on the group's plans, Melanie told Today with Hoda and Jenna the girls will be "releasing some good news in about a few weeks that involves all five of us."

Discussing the band's collaboration with Royal Mail, Mel added: "It's massive for the Royal Mail. Usually it's the Queen and the King, and now you've got the Spice Girls, a girl group on there, which doesn't seem to make sense; but it makes sense to us!"

MORE: Everything we know about the Spice Girls' Jason Hehir documentary so far

Last year, Mel B revealed the Spice Girls were to team-up with acclaimed The Last Dance Netflix documentary maker Jason Hehir on a brand-new project.

Speaking to Australian outlet The Project, Mel spilled: "I told Dave [Hughes, fellow The Masked Singer Australia panellist] when the cameras were off that we've signed our documentary to the guys that did The Last Dance, and he went and told the whole audience. I think I did say 'we've only just signed it, it hasn't been announced yet,' and then he told everyone."

Praising The Last Dance director Hehir, Mel continued: "The director and the whole concept of how that was shot and filmed was really, really, really, really good; so we'll be doing our own version with them."

The project is expected to be the Spice Girls' first official TV project since 2007 BBC reunion documentary Giving You Everything and 2012's The Spice Girls Story: Viva Forever!
