Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello’s Senorita extends reign at Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart

Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello continue to tango at the top of the Official Irish Singles Chart, notching up a sixth week at Number 1 with Senorita.

The track now ties with Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved and Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s I Don’t Care for most weeks at Number 1 in 2019.

Meanwhile, Dermot Kennedy’s Outnumbered reaches new heights, lifting one place to Number 2. It’s the joint-highest placing for an Irish artist single this year, matching the chart placing of Westlife’s Hello My Love.

Sam Smith climbs six rungs to Number 5 with How Do You Sleep? to become his eighth Top 5 hit, and there are new peaks inside the Top 10 for Goodbyes by Post Malone ft. Young Thug (6), Mabel’s Mad Love (8) and Sigala & Becky Hill’s Wish You Well (10).

Kygo & Whitney Houston’s Higher Love scales four places to a new peak at Number 11, and Dutch DJ/producer Sam Feldt is this week’s highest climber with Post Malone, rising ten slots to Number 17.

Joel Corry claims the week’s highest new entry with Sorry at 27, four placings ahead of The Archer from Taylor Swift at 31; the promotional track for her new album Lover is her 28th Irish Chart entry.

Finally, three more tracks make their Top 50 debuts this week: Jax Jones & Bebe Rexha impact at Number 41 with Harder; Takeaway by The Chainsmokers & Illenium ft. Lennon Stella arrives at Number 49; and Young T & Bugsey and Aitch Strike A Pose at Number 50.

Official Irish Homegrown Top 20

RuthAnne has scored the highest new entry on this week’s Homegrown Top 20.

From Donaghmede, RuthAnne has written songs for the likes of Niall Horan and JoJo but storms onto this week’s chart as an artist in her own right. Her 2018 single The Vow lands at Number 9 after it featured on the final episode of Love Island.

Elsewhere, Dermot Kennedy holds at Number 1 with Outnumbered, while Fontaines D.C. return to the Top 20 at Number 18 with Boys In The Better Land following their Mercury Prize nomination.
