Route 94 and Jess Glynne’s My Love leads midweek singles race

After topping the Official Singles Chart with Clean Bandit a few weeks ago, Jess Glynne looks set to do it all over again with Route 94’s My Love.

British DJ and producer Route 94 looks set to knock Pharrell off the top of the Official Singles Chart on Sunday to claim his first ever Number 1 with My Love, according to today’s Official Chart Update.

My Love will be the Official Chart debut of 20 year old dance producer Route 94, the deep house anthem whistles in the talents of singer/songwriter Jess Glynne and takes pole position as the highest new entry midweek. Jess Glynne also lent her seemingly invincible guest vocals to Clean Bandit’s massive selling chart topper, Rather Be, earlier this year, topping the Official Singles Chart for four consecutive weeks, and holds the record for the fastest selling single of 2014 so far.

My Love leads the singles race today, and is currently outselling Pharrell’s Happy (Number 2) by more than two copies to one.

Clean Bandit’s Rather Be is holding firm at Number 3 today, while BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice winner Sam Smith is down two places to Number 4 with Money On My Mind, and A Great Big World’s Say Something FT Christina Aguilera is a non-mover at Number 5.

New Entries

In addition to Route 94’s My Love FT Jess Glynne, there are three other new entries on today’s Official Chart Update. Lily Allen looks set to claim this week’s second highest new entry on Sunday with Air Balloon (7), while Magic, the first single from Coldplay’s upcoming sixth album, is new in at Number 11.

And finally, Laura Marling-approved singer/songwriter Nick Mulvey is on course for his debut Top 40 single on Sunday with Cucurucu (new in at Number 25 today).
