Olivia Rodrigo has drained the blood of the competition to secure her third UK Number 1 single vampire.

The gothic ballad had previously peaked at Number 2 for a straight month, held off by Dave & Central Cee’s record-breaking Sprinter. Today, it performs a rejuvenation Dracula would be proud of, jumping two to the top of the Official Singles Chart.

vampire, the lead single from Olivia's incoming second album GUTS, completes a trilogy of UK Number 1s for the US singer-songwriter, joining drivers license and good 4 u, which both reached the pinnacle in 2021.

Olivia Rodrigo is now officially the female solo artist with the most Number 1 singles this decade so far as a result. See the list of every UK Number 1 single of the past 70 years, from 1952 to now.

I’ve been reading these comments for years :) and enjoy the chart for over 30 years but I don’t get the hype from Taylor -Beyoncé or the vampire singer who’s currently no1 lol they have no personality -glad Becky and raye have top ten hits tho :) but let’s get Kylie in the top ten next week !

Doja cat is ok but as for Olivia track being boring...dont agree.

Its an Orginal song and it  doesnt rely Heavily in a sample from a classic song.

Hey! Don't go making up 'Chart Facts'! - Olivia Rodrigo is the first FEMALE artist (not first artist) to have three U.K. Number 1 singles in the 2020s! Ed Sheeran has unfathomably had SIX No.1s since the beginning of 2020, and both LadBaby and Lewis Capaldi have had three chart-toppers. The way the charts are calculated now it wouldn't surprise me if both Wham! and Mariah Carey don't notch up another 6 or 7 pole-positions (albeit with the same song(s)) before this decade is out...
