Olivia Rodrigo’s Drivers License makes it seven weeks at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

The most streamed song of the week with 5.6 million plays, Drivers License extends its reign at the summit, fending off competition from Lil Tjay & 6LACK’s Calling My Phone (2) and Nathan Evans’ Wellerman remix with 220 Kid and Billen Ted (3).

Seven consecutive weeks at the top marks the longest stint at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart since Tones & I’s Dance Monkey, which spent 11 weeks at Number 1 between October and December 2019.

This week’s highest new entry comes from Ella Henderson & Tom Grennan with Let’s Go Home Together at Number 28. This marks Ella’s seventh Top 40 hit and Tom Grennan’s first – though Tom also simultaneously lands his second with Little Bit Of Love after it climbs 13 places to Number 32.

Other hits climbing into the Top 40 for the first time come from Liverpudlian DJ Navos with Believe Me at Number 33, and Australian rapper Masked Wolf, whose breakout hit Astronaut In The Ocean rises nine to Number 35.

Finally, there are two further brand-new Top 40 entries: Toxic by West London rapper Digga D, which becomes his fifth Top 40 single at Number 36, and Ariana Grande’s Test Drive from the deluxe version of her Positions album debuts at 38, her 30th UK Top 40 hit.

She got Number one, only one week on Sales and Download Charts so far!, She got 7 Weeks of Number 1 though playlists control of streaming and Ratios of ACR-SCR for Singles and radio1, the charts Singles adds ghost/streaming points to units/or now total copies than sale copies, the charts on singles was more accurately before 2014 I still listening to the charts on the radio , i have since a kid for singles charts but i think we all miss those days of just pure sales than streaming points

New releases have been a dead zone as of late, and currently nothing on the charts seems to be in contention for #1, so if this keeps up, we should expect 'Drivers License' to stay at the summit for 10 weeks.

I hope this is the last week of 'Drivers License' being No.1 because if not I will not come back to this website ever again.

What about when Bryan Adams spent 16 weeks at number 1.!!

Yes but 'Driver's License' could never do that. That doesn't change my opinion anyway. I still think this is the last week that the song is going to be No.1.

We need a new #1 now, but it's nice to see Tom Grennan finally make a breakthrough!

I'm also happy to see new peaks for: 'Heat Waves', 'My Head & My Heart' & 'Arcade'. :)

Yes Piran! It has to be my favorite week on the charts for a long time simply because Tom Grennan got 2 top 40 hits in 1 week and even bagged the highest new entry with Ella Henderson beating Ariana Grande's new single! That is a great feat the way Ariana has been flying so high in the charts over last few years.
Am loving the climbs for 'heat waves' 'my head & my heart' & 'arcade' too. :)

I really thought you'd be happy about this week! :D

It's awesome how Tom Grennan went from having no Top 40 hits before today, to his first two in the same chart, haha.

I know, I guess a lot of people think a top 100 is nothing but it is an amazing achievement when you see the number of tracks released each week. The top 100 is a great achievement in my eyes and a top 40 is phenomenal! Let alone 2 at the same time! So happy

Piran

Definitely! I've been hearing about Tom Grennan for a long time, so it's finally good to see him break into the upper reaches of the chart. :)

Did you see that he's got the Top 2 songs on the Big Top 40?! :O

He's got the new #1 with 'Let's Go Home Together', as well as the highest climber of the week with 'Little Bit Of Love' (34-2).
