Olivia Rodrigo races to a second week at Number 1 on the Official Irish Singles Chart with Drivers License

Olivia's Disney+ co-star and rumoured ex-boyfriend Joshua Bassett makes his Top 50 debut with Lie Lie Lie.

Olivia Rodrigo drifts in at Number 1 for a second week on the Official Irish Singles Chart with Drivers License.

The 17-year-old actress debuted at the top spot last week, topping the charts simultaneously in the likes of the UK, the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the Netherlands.

Drivers License is once more Ireland’s most downloaded and streamed song of the week, outperforming the rest of the Top 5 combined. After posting the most streams in a single week last week, Olivia notched up the second-biggest recorded tally today with 1.84 million.

All I Want a song Olivia performed on Disney+ show High School Musical: The Musical: The Series advances 24 places to 16 this week. Olivia’s co-star Joshua Bassett, who is rumoured to be the subject of Drivers License, makes his Official Irish Singles Chart debut at 44 with Lie Lie Lie, also believed to be about his supposed ex-girlfriend.

Peaking at Number 4 last October, Ariana Grande’s 34+35 returns to the Top 5 at Number 5 following the release of a remix featuring Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion, while the British trio of singer-songwriter Anne-Marie, rapper KSI and producer Digital Farm Animals score this week’s highest new entry at Number 9 with Don’t Play.

New peak positions in this week’s Top 20 are logged by Spanish producer HVME with Goosebumps (11) and Canadian artist The Weeknd’s Save Your Tears (18).

Streets the latest single from US rap star Doja Cat is a new entry at Number 22, while the late Juice WRLD makes a ninth posthumous Top 50 appearance with Bad Boy ft. Young Thug. Finally former One Direction member Zayn claims his highest chart position since October 2017 with Vibez at Number 31.
