Lorde's Top 10 biggest songs on the Official Chart
As Lorde makes her eagerly anticipated return with her upbeat, sun-kissed new single Solar Power, OfficialCharts.com celebrates her comeback by revealing her Top 10 biggest songs so far.
Solar Power is set to become Lorde's 11th entry on the Official Singles Chart Top 100, while her two Top 5 studio albums and exec-produced Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt 1 soundtrack are all widely acclaimed works.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, Lorde's three Top 40 entries rank as her Top 3 songs in the UK. Royals - her chart-topping debut single released in 2013 - finishes top of the pile with 1.28 million chart sales, including 80 million streams.
The track's simplistic production (courtesy of Joel Little) and catchy refrain (courtesy of Lorde) immediately set Lorde apart from the pop crowd in 2013 and quickly became a global smash, topping the charts in more than 12 countries and reportedly selling 10 million worldwide.
Lorde's second biggest song in the UK is Green Light, the electrifying, dancing-through-tears lead single from her second album Melodrama released in 2017, with 830,000 chart sales. 2013's Team, which served as the third single from her debut album Pure Heroine, completes the Top 3 with 434,000 chart sales.
Elsewhere in her all-time Top 10, Diclosure collaboration Magnets - the fourth single from the production duo's second album Caracal - ranks sixth, while Homemade Dynamite places seventh, boosted by an all-star remix for its single release featuring Khalid, Post Malone and SZA.
Lorde's haunting cover of Tears For Fears' Everybody Wants To Rule The World for the Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack is at 8, while Melodrama's second single, the anthemic Perfect Places, rounds out the Top 10.
