Lil Nas X lands a second week at Number 1 on the official Singles Chart with Montero (Call Me By Your Name).

Meanwhile, Russ Millions & Tion Wayne fly nine places with Body (12) – Tion Wayne’s fifth Top 20 hit, and Russ’s third – while Masked Wolf’s Astronaut In The Ocean (18) also reaches a new peak after climbing two places. Silk Sonic’s Leave The Door Open (20) climbs three to return to its Top 20 peak, and D-Block Europe & Raye speed up a further six places with Ferrari Horses (22).

Fact: Apart From 1997, this is also the only time in history that Radio 1 did not air This Week's Singles Charts, On 9th April 2021 instead of the charts on radio 1 we instead had just a few mins newsbeat, with Instrumental popular Songs With Backing Tracks with no vocals.

Nice to see 'Peaches' move up to the runner-up position, but I'm even happier that Olivia Rodrigo got the highest new entry of the week. :)

It looks like ‘Montero [Call Me By Your Name]’ might be a hit because of the song rather than the video after all! :O

It seems to be getting massive Spotify & Apple Music figures to add to its YouTube hype now, so I don’t see it going anywhere just yet! I honestly don’t mind that either, since it definitely continues to be a grower.

Yeah i bet you shock like us, that the charts was cancelled on radio 1, i bet you may of been annoyed from 4pm as just a few mins news per hour, and the rest of the time, was instrumental of popular songs, no vocals, just backing thoughout, i bet most people turned off radio 1, and streaming music and watching films or series instead to cheer themselves

For me, I put on Taylor's new album to make up for the time, but I did listen to a few minutes of the tributes to Prince Phillip out of respect. :)
