Justin Bieber breaks another US chart record with I'm The One

He's the only one... other than Mariah and Britney.

Justin Bieber sits at Number 1 currently in the UK with I'm The One, the DJ Khaled track that he features on alongside Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne. The song has also reached the top spot in the United States, helping Justin break even more records in the process.

Biebs' Purpose album campaign was hugely successful for him and the good times keep on rolling into 2017 with his latest credit. I'm The One has debuted at Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, which means that Justin is the only male artist to ever debut at No.1 twice. He previously managed it with What Do You Mean.

The only other artists who have managed to debut at the very top in the US on multiple occasions are Britney Spears, who did it with 3 and Hold It Against Me, and Mariah Carey, who holds the record for three Number 1 first-week placings with Fantasy, One Sweet Day, and Honey.

Back to Justin's huge single with DJ Khaled and the gang, it marks the first time that a song with five credited artists has topped the US charts. As revealed in our chart facts of the week feature, that feat has occurred before in the UK, when Notorious BIG's Nasty Girl featuring P Diddy, Nelly, Jagged Edge and Avery Storm did it in 2006.

Justin also has another tune in the US Top 3 this week - his Despacito remix hook-up with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee is at Number 3. The last person to have two songs in the US Top 3? That's right, it was Bieber back in February 2016.

Over on the US albums chart, Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. holds at the top for a third straight week, fending off competition from Gorillaz, whose album Humanz equals their career high peak of Number 2.

Other new entries inside the Top 10 are Mary J. Blige's Strength Of A Woman at Number 3, and Willie Nelson's God's Problem Child at Number 10.
