BTS star Jung Kook and Jack Harlow's 3D narrows gap in UK Number 1 song race
Yesterday (October 1), Jung Kook (Jeon Jung-kook) sat at Number 3 behind Doja's current chart-topper and British breakout star Kenya Grace's Strangers at Number 2. Though, in today's update, he leapfrogs ahead of Kenya in what could potentially claim the BTS star his highest-charting solo single yet.
Earlier this year, Jung Kook made Official Chart history with Latto collaboration Seven. At the time, he claimed the highest-charting debut for a solo Korean act in UK chart history. In the process, he broke his bandmates' previous Official Singles Chart peaks to earn BTS's highest-charting solo single, following recent feats from bandmates j-hope and Jimin.
In March 2023, Jimin broke his own record as Like Crazy debuted at Number 8 on the Official Singles Chart. Earlier that month, Jimin's Set Me Free Pt. 2 had become the highest-charting solo BTS track (Number 30); eclipsing j-hope's previous best with J. Cole collaboration On The Street (Number 37).
Where is BTS star Jung Kook set to chart with Jack Harlow collaboration 3D in the UK?
In today's update (October 2), Jung Kook looks set to debut at Number 2 with 3D with what could be the week's highest new entry.

Could Jung Kook's peak higher than BTS's back catalogue on the Official Singles Chart?
He could indeed.
Should Jung Kook land at Number 2 with 3D, he'll out-peak BTS's biggest Singles Chart debuts (and peaks) so far; the group having debuted at Number 3 with 2020's Dynamite, plus 2021 releases Butter and My Universe with Coldplay.
Find out where Jung Kook and Jack Harlow's 3D charts this Friday, October 6 live on BBC Radio 1's The Official Chart with Jack Saunders on BBC Sounds, and of course right here at OfficialCharts.com.
