Pop bad boy Jason Derulo’s new singe Talk Dirty is set to end Katy Perry’s two-week-stand at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart.

He’s got lipstick stamps on his passport, and he knows what girls want from London to Taiwan… Whether you take his lyrics literally or not, US lothario Jason Derulo certainly has the gift of the gab, and he’s talking himself all the way to Number 1 on this week’s Official Singles Chart.

Jason’s latest single, Talk Dirty FT 2 Chainz, looks set to end Katy Perry’s two week run at Number 1 with Roar. After three days on sale, Talk Dirty has nearly sold 100,000 copies in the UK; a lead of some 61,000 copies on Katy’s track, which falls to Number 2 today. Should Jason maintain his lead going into the weekend, Talk Dirty will be his third UK chart-topper following 2010’s In My Head and 2011’s Don’t Wanna Go Home.

Jessie J is new in at Number 3 with It’s My Party. The track is the second single to be lifted from her upcoming second album, Alive, which is released on Monday (September 23). Avicii’s new single You Make Me debuts one place behind at Number 4. You Make Me features on the superstar Swedish DJ’s debut album, True, which is currently battling it out in the race to Number 1 on this week’s Official Albums Chart with reigning champs, Arctic Monkeys. Counting Stars by OneRepublic (Number 5) completes today’s Top 5.

New Entries and High Climbers

Jasmine van den Bogaerde, AKA Birdy, is set to make her return to the Official Singles Chart this weekend with new track Wings. The single is taken from the 17-year-old singer / songwriter’s forthcoming second album, Fire Within. Meanwhile, Scottish electro pop trio Chvrches are on course for their highest charting single to date with The Mother We Share, which is new in at 37 today.

Demi Lovato’s 2012 hit Skyscraper is this week’s highest climber, shooting up a massive 132 places to 32 after being played on last weekend’s X Factor, while Christina Perri’s A Thousand Years climbs 88 places to Number 7 after contestant Nicholas McDonald performed it on the ITV show.

Christina Perri’s Jar Of Hearts is also set to re-enter the Top 40 this weekend. It climbs 42 places to 36 today after being featured in Monday night’s Eastenders. The Wanted are up 31 places to re-enter the Top 40 at 19 with We Own The Night.
