Anyone But You earns second week at the top of the Official Film Chart

Anyone But You

Anyone But You holds strong at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

Despite worthy competition from The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes – which this week rises to Number 2 following its release on disc – the Sydney Sweeney-starring rom-com remains victorious for a second week.

Our highest new entry this week comes from offbeat Emma Stone comedy Poor Things, landing straight in at Number 3. Set in Victorian London, unorthodox scientist Dr Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) brings a young woman, Bella (Stone), back to life; Bella however craves autonomy and runs away with a lawyer (played by Mark Ruffalo) on a whirlwind adventure across the world.

Wonka earns another week in the Top 5 (4), while Dune jumps five places back into the Top 5 (5) following the release of sequel Dune: Part Two in cinemas. Oppenheimer also claims another big week in the Top 10 (6).

Holiday horror Thanksgiving enters the Top 10 for the very first time, at Number 7 this week, as it re-enters the chart following its release on disc. It previously peaked at Number 33.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom drops two this week (8) while Disney’s Wish earns its sixth consecutive week in the Top 10 (9). Finally, Oscar-nominated coming-of-age period drama The Color Purple makes a Number 10 debut on digital downloads only.
